Just now I have learned about literary criticism and lecturers is the mother of lilies, and she is my favorite teacher. I get of course literary critism discuss novel titled the pearl, and the mother gave questions to the students and should be answered directly by means of every two people to move forward. The lesson that I have learnt before, about literary criticism is intersting, because we discuss The Pearl. I can feel the story instead of reading two chapter, but all students can't understand the whole story, because in the end the lecturer did not explained.
The Pearl is driving me to be more responsible to do every single activity in my life. even though, I just read the story in one chapter, but it is very attracted story and I can understand a half-story of The Pearl. Literary Criticism will always guide me to understand what Literary is.

I have to write down the example of readers response criticism questions and answer the question which is related to the novel. the lecturer ask to answer the question in group that every group consist of two learners. we have to ask and answer each other. From this meeting, I begin know what is literary criticism and try to identify an literary. In add, I know about approaches to literature and I have to presentate it with my partner in the next meeting.

"The Pearl" by John Steinbeck was the material for Literary Criticism lecture today. It was so sad because I did not read it before. I forgot about the task which Mrs. Lilies gave last week because I was too busy with the organization ( there was GPS ( G-ESA Play and Share last Saturday and I should take care of it). So, in the morning, I read the novel as quick as possible before Mrs. Lilies came to the class, but I only could read 4 chapters from 12 chapters though. Mrs. Lilies gave an order to give some criticism about it's story. It was really interesting and I am interested in the story. It tells about Kino and his family with several conflicts we can find in it. Mrs. Lilies gave some questions and I had to answer it. Everyone who got ready might come forward in a partner. I got Sayidah with me and we came forward for the first and asked each other. She was a good partner. For the next meeting, Mrs. Lilies gave some tasks and I should finish it as good as possible. Yeah. Fighting!

Deconstructionist Approach / Deconstrationist Criticism After I read the definition of deconstructionist approach, i conclude that Deconstructionist approach include nature and culture, speech and writing mind and body presence and metaphorical, intelligible and sensible and meaning among many others. Deconstruction is actually a way of reading any text and there by exposing the instability of meaning which the text tries to cover up. We can differentiate between connotations and denotations and ever changing implications in changing contexts. And also we can analyze some dictions who has written by the author.
There are some examples question for “Deconstructionist Approach” 1. What figure of speech is used in the novel. Mention it.! 2. Write 3 example sentences that use the metaphor ! 3. Describe the differences between connotations , denotations and figure of speech !

Today on the 15th of October I learn approaches to literature and each group must present their material and my group present about new/formalist criticism but we have a little problem that we didn't prepare the material so well. At the first I feel hopeless cause we are confuse what should we do but fortunately we can handle it and doesn't get some home work like the other group.
On October, 15 2015, I had to present one of literary criticism method in front of my friends.This time, I got Zulfa as my partner. The material which I held was about Historical Criticism. So there are about several methods of literary criticism approach; 1. New Criticism 2. Biographical Criticism 3. Historical Criticism. 4. Psychological Criticism 5. Feminism Criticism 6. Sociological Criticism 7. Mythology Criticism 8. Reader Response Criticism Every method has different way to analyze/explore the literary. Historical itself focuses on the time period within the story and the time period in which the story was written. I think, my presentation was bad that I still made some "umm..." in every my explanation and when I asked my friends wether they understand or no to my explanation, they kept silent. I have to study more and more so I can make some good explanations in other day.
My Reflection Today, I would learn about literary criticism. I learn about formalist/new criticism, biographical criticism, historical criticism gender/ feminist criticism, psychological criticism, sociological criticism, mythological criticism, and reader respond criticism. Today, I learn by discussing with his method circular. However, the presentation is done by groups. I understand the material presented by friends or materials I have to say. However, there are some that I do not understand because there is little friends are presenting the material did not master the material, and less focus on the core of the material. I am pleased with today's teaching methods, because the subjects litrary criticism requires thinking that is quite extensive and this course is a literary English. So it took a better idea. ReplyDeleteToday on the 15th of October I learn approaches to literature and each group must present their material and my group present about new/formalist criticism but we have a little problem that we didn't prepare the material so well. At the first I feel hopeless cause we are confuse what should we do but fortunately we can handle it and doesn't get some home work like the other group.
ReplyDeleteOn October, 15 2015, I had to present one of literary criticism method in front of my friends.This time, I got Zulfa as my partner. The material which I held was about Historical Criticism. So there are about several methods of literary criticism approach;

Every method has different way to analyze/explore the literary. Historical itself focuses on the time period within the story and the time period in which the story was written.
I think, my presentation was bad that I still made some "umm..." in every my explanation and when I asked my friends wether they understand or no to my explanation, they kept silent. I have to study more and more so I can make some good explanations in other day.

My Reflection
Today, I would learn about literary criticism. I learn about formalist/new criticism, biographical criticism, historical criticism gender/ feminist criticism, psychological criticism, sociological criticism, mythological criticism, and reader respond criticism.
Today, I learn by discussing with his method circular. However, the presentation is done by groups. I understand the material presented by friends or materials I have to say. However, there are some that I do not understand because there is little friends are presenting the material did not master the material, and less focus on the core of the material.
I am pleased with today's teaching methods, because the subjects litrary criticism requires thinking that is quite extensive and this course is a literary English. So it took a better idea.

today, we all learnt about Approaches of Literature. My group presented one of the approaches of Literature by the title “ Sociological Criticism" but when my group presentation there is mistake. My group didn't known about some example of question about sociological criticism and from it make me to more prepare for next presentation is very good. Thanks Ma'am for today....

Today, in literary critism my group explains psychological approach. This approach interprets writting, authors and reader through a psychological lens.the focus is on outhor’s expression and psychology. The reader responses can also be evaluated from this standpoint to learn more about how people respond to works of literature. In this form of literarycritism, critics think about the symbols in the work and what they might mean. This lesson make us especially me about 9 kinds of literature’s.

In this meeting, we discussed about approach to literature. I will choose the theme about biogrhapical criticism. The discussion we did not prepare optimally. ReplyDeleteToday, I faced with two things in my schedule ' presentation the material of feminist criticism and speech in front of the class.from the last night,my mind can' t stop thinking about that.because my partner was absent i was so insecure to present my presentation without her,but i thought i can and i tried it well.after all of group present each material about approach of literary criticism.now i have known there are a lot of approach ,what the definition of them,the advantages and disadvantages of them and the question related to approach literary.
